Loretta,
I'm so sorry about Stan. What a great guy and mentor during my early field trial days. How appropriate that his services were held during American Amateur's Fall Field Trial. Even so, I would have come to the wake if I had found out sooner. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I worked with Stan for a few years at RRD in the Chicago division. He was my first supervisor. I always respected him and owe my career to him. Hwwe went to bat for me when I needed it. I never will forget him and am sorry for the family in this time of grief.

To the entire Gacek family I offer my prayers and condolences. My memories of growing up on the block with the Gacek family will always be cherished. With the patience and understanding of a Saint, Mr. Gacek allowed me and the other kids from the block to use his home and yard for all of our childhood activities. From the “running bases” on the sidewalk and the nightly games of “kick the can” to pool games in the basement, he always made me feel welcome there. Heaven has received another gem from America’s Greatest Generation.
