Love this post. I'd love to write about some of my favorite freinds, but I always abandon the idea because I think it will just come out sounding stupid and insincere. You're such a great writer, that you should give it a shot. I do think that a few of us should form a writing group specifically for the task of creating a PBS station-based book/screenplay. I mean, seriously, the comedic material we have is ENDLESS. Do you think people will recognize themselves, even if we change the names? Uncle Bob

Uncle Bob was a sweet man. He was always kind and funny. I appreciated that he came to my dad's funeral and when telling him that, his response was "I had to, I am the oldest Emmons boy now."
He was always willing to talk and tell stories of the boys growing up. While working on a family history scrapbook for Leslie, Holly, and myself he related several new stories about his big brother Jim, and little brothers Jack and Bill.
During our fall of hurricanes in 2004, he called to check on us. He was the first phone call that got through after an outage of about 3 days.
I wish my girls had lived closer so they could have gotten to know him better. At least they got to visit him at an age they can remember him.
Aunt Fay and Gary, I am so sorry for your loss.
