Morris Basil (MB) Irish (September 30, 1925 – November 13, 2015)
Morris Basis (MB) Irish of Astoria, formerly of the Portland area, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the age of 90 after a sudden illness.  Born September 30, 1925, he was the son of Grant Morris Irish and Hallie Fay Irish.  He grew up in the Taft area of Lincoln City.  Mr. Irish was a Navy veteran having served in World War II and was retired from Union Pacific Railroad after a 35+ year career.  He was of the Christian faith.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Marie Irish; his parents; and two brothers, Dick Irish and Willie Morris.  Mr. lrish is survived by his five children, Stephen Irish of Bloomington, Indiana, Richard Irish of Astoria, Karen (Charlie) Irish-Borrego of Portland, Jeffrey (Darin) Irish of Colbert, Washington, and Philip (Pam) Irish of Sherwood; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Vera Lancaster of Tillamook; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  Military honor guard service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Boulevard, Portland.  Please visit the cemetery administrative office at the main entrance for map and directions to the special service commital shelter.  A celebration of life service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at The Old Spaghetti Factory 12725 SE 93rd, Clackamas, OR 97015.
