Richard Denmon 1945 - 2018

 Mr. Richard L. Denmon, age 72, of Brookhaven, PA died January 10, 2018 at Naamans Creek Country Manor in Garnet Valley, PA.  Born in Chester, PA he had been aresident of Brookhaven since 1984. He was son of the late Augustus S. and Natalie G. Denmon.  Mr. Denmon earned Eagle Scout Award and The God & Country Award.  He was a former member of local 485 Musicians' Protective Union and a member of the George Bartrum lodge 298 in Springfield, PA. He was a graduate of Chester High School 1963 and awarded a music scholarship to the Valley Forge Military Academy Regimental Band.  He received an Associate of Arts Degree from VFMA in 1965 and graduated from the Philadelphia Musical Academy and received a Bachelor of Music Education 1969. Mr. Denmon did graduate work at: Penn State University, University of Tennessee, West Chester University and Temple University.  he preformed with the Chester City Band, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, the Moonlighters Dance Band and freelanced with different musical organizations.

He was also a school teacher for the Darby Colwyn School District (now the William Penn School District) from 1968 - 1975 until moving to the Unionville- Chadds Ford School District from 1975 - 1998. Mr. Denmon retired from teaching in 1998. In 1993 Mr. Denmon started a small reptile business called Demo's Pit, Inc. before changing the name to Bsll Boutique, Inc. He also enjoyed nature and fishing.

Services and interment are private.
