Eddie

I did not know Eddie for long. My only initial memory of him was in high school when he dated a friend of mine; & I have a pic I took of them from their Sr. prom. I wish I had gotten to know him back then. I got to know him, though, as adults, through his loving sisters Dottie & Julia who thought the world of him. I was impressed by him, solely, his heart, charm, character which was innately good for he was a good soul, gentle, kind, & thoughtful. Julia allowed me to condct a candle party at her home. It was mostly full of women; but, interestingly, Ed came to it. My conducting the class, in my awkward nervousness, I overlooked his being there, kind of forgot about it, though he was the only male. I later visited him at his home a year ago: Dottie took me. I was stricken when he asked me do I still do the candles? & that he was interested in them & enjoyed that party. & he asked me with a smile. At the time, he was playing classical music. I had had several encounters with Ed where he played classical music, obviously he loved it. I do remember discussing with Ed different classical music artists; he had a good knowledge of the great classical artists. I admired how he could openly play them vs. perhaps perceived opposition from his late brother Michael who wanted to play more kind of funky tunes. I spent a great deal of time in discussions with Michael about Ed. Michael lovingly described his brother Ed & his love for him, too. Though they are both now sadly "gone" from here on Earth, they are not gone at all. They are 2 souls I grew to love & who are reunited together. Michael probably welcomed Ed with big brotherly arms. I hope they are fighting over Ed insisting upon playing classical, but now, celestic angelic music vs. Michael's music; I hope they are drag-racing: Ed in a brand new truck vs. Michael in a Smartcar. & I hope Ed is surrounded with candles as luminous as he was. I will always be grateful I got to meet & know him as I could, for the small amount it was; he touched me, especially his heart which was pure. I look forward, Ed, to meeting you again; but, until then, may you enjoy all the bounties of Heaven in God's Kingdom & awards & blessings He has for you. Rest in peace, you gentle soul. With love, Cindy
